KiKi Math Privacy Policy

KiKi Math is a maths practice app for children aged 6 to 12, published by Swiftyl. This policy explains what the app does with information, which is very little: KiKi Math does not collect or share any personal information, and Swiftyl never receives any data from the app.
Summary
- No account or sign-in is required or offered.
- Progress is saved on the device and, if the device is signed in to iCloud, backed up to that person’s own iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud storage. Swiftyl has no servers and cannot see this data.
- The app doesn’t connect to anything else on the internet.
- There are no advertisements and no in-app purchases. The only links out of the app are two in Settings: one opens the Mail app to write to Swiftyl, and one opens KiKi Math’s App Store page to leave a review.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or other third-party software is included.
- No permissions are requested. The app does not access the camera, microphone, location, photos, or contacts.
Information stored on your device
To show progress between sessions, the app keeps a small amount of practice data on the device itself:
- best score in a round, and the best score for each times table, division table and addition or subtraction level,
- current practice streak and the date of the last completed round,
- lifetime totals of correct answers and finished rounds,
- “tricky ones”: the maths facts answered wrong, like 7 × 8, with how often and when each was missed, so they can be practised again.
This is practice progress only. It contains no name, age, contact details, device identifier, or any other information that could identify a person. It is stored using the standard iOS app settings storage.
The app also keeps the Sound effects and Haptics switches, and the date it last asked iOS to show the App Store rating prompt, so it doesn’t ask too often. These stay on the device and are not part of the iCloud backup.
iCloud backup
If the iPhone or iPad is signed in to iCloud, the app also saves a copy of the same practice data to that person’s iCloud account, using Apple’s iCloud key-value storage. This lets progress carry over to a new device or a reinstall, and stay in step across an iPhone and iPad on the same Apple Account.
- The backup is stored by Apple in the user’s own iCloud account, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Swiftyl cannot access, read, or delete it.
- It contains exactly the practice data listed above and nothing else.
- If the device isn’t signed in to iCloud, or iCloud is turned off for the app, nothing is backed up and the app works the same, saving on the device only.
Children’s privacy
KiKi Math is designed for children. It is built to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple’s guidelines for apps made for kids by the simplest possible approach: Swiftyl collects nothing. The app does not ask children for any information, cannot send information to Swiftyl or anyone else by itself, and contains no third-party services. The only copy that leaves the device is the optional backup to the family’s own iCloud account, which Apple stores on the family’s behalf.
The Send feedback link in Settings only opens a new email to Swiftyl in the Mail app. Nothing is sent unless the person holding the device sends it. If you do write to us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply.
Third-party services
None, apart from Apple’s own iCloud storage described above. The app includes no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or libraries that receive data.
Your choices
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side.
- Deleting the app removes the practice data stored on that device.
- The iCloud copy stays in your iCloud account, so progress can be restored if the app is installed again. To stop backing up, sign out of iCloud or turn off iCloud for KiKi Math in the device’s Settings.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of KiKi Math changes how it handles information, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised before that version is released.
